Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want every purchase on OCTOPUS to be fair and transparent. This policy explains when you can cancel and how refunds work.

1. Student subscriptions (UG, PG, PhD)

  • Subscriptions are billed yearly or once for the full course and do not renew automatically, so there is nothing to cancel for future billing.
  • You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not used paid features (no paid assessment taken, no subscriber session booked and no premium Knowledge Hub content opened).
  • After 7 days, or once paid features have been used, subscription fees are non-refundable.

2. Counseling sessions

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before the session for a full refund.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours, or missed sessions, are not refunded.
  • If the professional declines or cancels your booking, you receive a full refund automatically. If they reschedule and the new time doesn't work for you, you may cancel for a full refund.
  • Free weekend sessions used by subscribers have no monetary refund; a cancelled free session is returned to your weekly allowance where possible.

3. Workshops

  • Cancel at least 48 hours before the workshop starts for a full refund.
  • No refunds within 48 hours of the start time or after the workshop has begun.
  • If we cancel or postpone a workshop, you may choose a full refund or a seat in the rescheduled workshop.

4. Internships

  • Internship fees are refundable in full if your application is not accepted.
  • Once an application is accepted and the internship has started, fees are non-refundable.
  • If you withdraw after acceptance but before the start date, a refund may be issued at our discretion after deducting any costs already incurred.

5. Failed or duplicate payments

If money was deducted but your purchase wasn't confirmed, or you were charged twice, contact us with your order ID. Verified failed or duplicate charges are refunded in full.

6. How to request a refund

Email us from your registered email address with your order ID (shown on the payment page and in your receipt email) and the reason for the request.

7. Refund timelines

Approved refunds are initiated within 3 working days and credited to the original payment method, usually within 5–7 working days depending on your bank or payment provider.
